Looking for the best purple gaming keyboard that’ll stand out from the crowd and give you a solid gaming experience?
Finding the right keyboard for your needs can be tricky, but fear not — we’ve done the research and gathered our top picks for you.
Many of these keyboards are designed with durability features in mind, so they’ll last through intensive gaming sessions. They feature accurate responsiveness and anti-ghosting capabilities, giving you precise control over your gaming experience, and hot-swappable switches for maximum customizability. Plus, their eye-catching purple color and dazzling lighting effects will grab lots of eyeballs!
The best purple gaming keyboards will meet your needs—whether that’s stunning aesthetics, flawless gaming performance, portability, or a blend of all these.
We’ve segregated this list based on three keyboard sizes: 60%, 75%, and full-sized keyboards, and our picks include wired, wireless, mechanical, and membrane options.
Ready to go? Let’s dive in and find that perfect keyboard for you.
The Dustsilver D84 Cyberpunk Cool Purple combines a stunning purple aesthetic with decent gaming prowess and hot-swappable customizability.
This 84-key mechanical keyboard has a neat aesthetic that’s eye-catching but not overloaded with graphics. The PBT keycaps are colored using five-sided dye-sublimation, ensuring these keys stay fade and shine-resistant for their life. Its keys have a durability of over 100 million key presses, so they could work for a decade if you maintain them right.
You have four Gateron switch options — red, black, brown, and blue. Red and black are linear switches that are quiet and have swift actuation, making them perfect for gamers, while the blue switch has a tactile feel and clicky sound. The brown switch has tactile feedback too, but not much audio feedback, and that’s why it’s a great “middle-ground” switch.
This keyboard supports wired, 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth 5.0 connections and can connect to three devices simultaneously. There are three RGB light bars (front, back, and top-right corner), and the backlight has over 21 programmable RGB backlighting effects that are easy to cycle through with key combinations.
You could customize the lighting through Windows, but there’s no support for macOS currently. Another concern is that the lettering isn’t transparent and prevents the backlight from shining through it. Since the backlight isn’t too bright, you might be able to notice only some of the keys, depending on how dark it is.
With the adjustable feet, you can set the keyboard to three angles, and a wristrest will help because the keyboard could be too thick for some.
Specifications
PROS
✓ Shine and fade-resistant PBT keycaps
✓ Four Gateron switch options
✓ Adjustable feet for three angles
✓ Compatible with macOS and Windows
CONS
✘ No backlight customization software for macOS
✘ Poor letter visibility in the dark
The YUNZII Coolkiller CK75 has a unique purple keyboard aesthetic sprinkled with illustrations of fairies, castles, mountains, and lakes. Its double-shot PBT keys are durable and oil resistant, and the quirky 8-bit arcade font lettering on the keycaps won’t fade even with heavy use.
The hot-swappable keyboard features three connectivity modes — wired, 2.4 GHz dongle, and Bluetooth 5.1. For wired connections, the keyboard has a purple-coiled and braided USB-C cable. The 2.4 GHz connection relies on a USB-A dongle, while Bluetooth 5.1 is built-in.
South-facing RGB lights make the keyboard’s lighting brighter and smoother without compromising keycap readability. With bright RGB backlighting, the CoolKiller CK75 can last up to 25 hours and 90 hours with no RGB.
Programmers who often use the tilde (~) key might find its position on this keyboard uncomfortable, and typing could sound slightly hollow or rattly for some.
It’s compatible with Windows and macOS, but there are no modifier keys for macOS. Also, the manual shipped with the product was in Chinese, but you can download an English manual online.
Specifications
PROS
✓ Durable and oil-resistant double-shot PBT keys
✓ Braided and coiled USB-C cable
✓ Compatible with Windows and macOS
✓ Adjustable feet for three angles
✓ South-facing RGB makes the keyboard RGB smoother and brighter
CONS
✘ Missing modifier keys for Mac
✘ Position of the tilde key can feel uncomfortable for some
✘ Physical manual in Chinese
Dustsilver K84 Purple Pink Lilac keyboard is similar to the Cyberpunk D84 Cool Purple but has a softer purple keyboard color.
The K84 lacks wireless connectivity but is less expensive than its wireless variant (D84 Purple Lilac Wireless) and will give you zero latency issues while gaming. It has double-shot PBT keycaps, so the lettering is sharp and will never fade or chip, no matter how much you hammer the keys during those intensive FPS battles. You also get a matching 1.5-meter USB-A to USB-C cable.
This mechanical keyboard’s hot-swappable, and you have three Gateron switch options: brown, red, and black. But there’s no blue switch option, like with the D84 Cool Purple.
It has adjustable feet to set to two different angles (three, if you include the base position), and the keys are super comfortable to type on. They’re also rated for a durability of 100 million key presses.
There are three RGB light bars at the front, back, and top right corner, and although it could be brighter, there are 21 programmable RGB backlighting patterns. The keyboard works with Windows and macOS, but note that the backlight customization software is compatible only with Windows. And similar to the D84, the backlight doesn’t shine through the lettering.
Specifications
PROS
✓ Shine and fade-resistant, doubleshot PBT keycaps
✓ Compatible with macOS and Windows
✓ Backlight with over 21 effects
✓ Adjustable feet for three angles
CONS
✘ No wireless connectivity
✘ No Gateron Blue
✘ No backlight customization software for macOS
✘ Poor letter visibility in the dark
Looking to boost your multi-tasking productivity? The Costom L75 Gradient Purple can help.
This sleek, low-profile keyboard is built with aviation-grade aluminum alloy and looks undeniably premium, despite lacking adjustable feet. The L75 is big on portability with a height of 22mm, which is shorter than a US quarter dollar (24.26mm).
It has three connection modes — wired, 2.4 GHz dongle, and Bluetooth 5.0, and can connect with five devices simultaneously. A word of caution: having other 2.4 GHz devices near the keyboard could interfere with its connection.
The double-shot PBT keys are transparent (light shines through the letters), fade-resistant, and comfortable to type for extended hours. This mechanical keyboard ships out only with low-profile Gateron red switches (linear) for rapid actuation, so it’s smooth to type on but not too loud and great for fast-paced gaming. If you want the typing to sound even better and have experience with keyboard modding, try lubing the switches and greasing the stabilizers.
Costom L75’s keystroke lifespan is 50 million, which is half of what you’ll find on some of the other keyboards in this list. Nonetheless, it’s hot-swappable, all the keys are programmable, and it has 20 backlight color effects. Although it has extra keycaps for macOS, you’ll need a Windows computer to use the customization software.
The purple color keyboard has a 56-hour battery life with 360 hours of standby time, so it’ll last a week with eight hours of daily use. But note that the batteries are rechargeable lithium-polymer, so they won’t be able to hold a charge after 3 to 4 years of use.
Specifications
PROS
✓ Premium aluminum alloy material
✓ Doubleshot letter transparent PBT keycaps
✓ Connects to five devices simultaneously
✓ Swift actuation and remappable keys
✓ 56-hour battery life with 360 hours of standby time
✓ Extra keycaps for Windows and macOS
CONS
✘ No height adjustment for the rear
✘ Only available in low-profile red switches
✘ Wireless connectivity isn’t reliable when using other 2.4 GHz devices
✘ Software only works on Windows
The Mosptnspg keyboard is an affordable 60 percent keyboard with double injection-molded PBT keycaps that won’t fade and allow light to shine through. This aesthetic keyboard isn’t hot-swappable, but the red switches and all-key anti-ghosting feature are excellent for high-performance gaming.
The backlighting is uniform across the mechanical keyboard for improved visibility, and it’s lightweight (around 739 grams). It lacks adjustable feet and wireless connectivity, but the USB-C to USB-A cable is fully detachable, improving portability.
The Mosptnspg could feel a bit noisy for some, so adding foam inside will help. You can also adjust the backlight’s brightness, effects, and speed through the keyboard.
It’s compatible with Windows and macOS, and comes with a key puller and extra space, enter, and escape keys.
Specifications
PROS
✓ Fade-resistant PBT keycaps
✓ Uniform backlighting and letter visibility
✓ Swift actuation
✓ All-key anti-ghosting
✓ Compatible with Windows and macOS
CONS
✘ Not hot-swappable
✘ No adjustable feet
✘ Could sound noisy
Like the Mosptnspg, the HK Gaming GK61 Purple is a wired 60 percent keyboard with a detachable USB-C cable. It has hot-swappable, doubleshot ABS keycaps that are fade, spill, and dust resistant. The compact keyboard has a lovely uniform lavender color and anti-ghosting n-key rollover — ideal for FPS, MMO, and MOBA gaming.
There are a few swift Gateron optical switches (0.2 ms response time) to choose from, but not all ship with the purple variant.
The GK61 Purple has a stylish design, per-key backlighting, adjustable backlight brightness, and supports macro recording, functions, and backlight customization through the software. However, the software’s compatible only with Windows, feels clunky, and might give you a hard time if you plan to play around a lot with the RGB lighting.
The keys have a durability of 100 million actuation, and the triple function keys give you access to advanced media and macro functions.
Specifications
PROS
✓ Lettering won’t fade
✓ Gateron optical switches for ultra-fast response time (0.2 ms)
✓ Full Anti Ghosting Mode n-key Rollover (NKRO)
✓ Macro recording, advanced lighting effects, and customizations through software
✓ Key puller included
CONS
✘ Limited optical switch options
✘ Clunky customization software
✘ No software for macOS
The Firstblood Only Game. B16 Lilac is the only full-sized mechanical keyboard on our list. With 96 keys, instead of the traditional 104, this is a somewhat compact full-size, and it’s evident when you notice the arrow keys are merged in the number-pad section. If you want a tenkey backlit wired gaming keyboard that doesn’t eat up your gamer desk space, this is a great option.
The multi-use num-pad can take some getting used to, especially if you often switch between the arrows and the number pad. It also lacks dedicated keys for insert and delete.
There is a customization software, though, and you could use it for macro editing and assigning functions to keys to simplify keystroke sequences.
The keyboard has dual-tone PBT keycaps and you can expect excellent durability and no letter fading with use. If your game roster’s full of FPS and fast-paced action games, you’ll like the B16’s Cherry MX red switches for swift actuation with minimal force and sound.
The B16 Lilac supports N-key rollover for all its keys, has adjustable feet, and 21 modes for the backlight. However, the backlight is white (no RGB).
Specifications
PROS
✓ Cherry MX Red switches
✓ All-key N-key rollover
✓ Software for macro editing
✓ Adjustable feet
CONS
✘ No insert and delete buttons
✘ Multi-use number pad isn’t the most convenient
✘ No RGB, only white backlight
The NPET K10 is a wired, full-sized membrane keyboard that’s quite inexpensive and has a 2-year warranty. It’s compatible with Windows and macOS and has a dedicated numeric keypad and anti-ghosting keys.
Its keycaps are doubleshot ABS, so the lettering won’t fade, but the keys will likely shine over time, especially on the space bar. However, this isn’t a significant setback because the purple color makes the shine less evident.
Backlighting on this cabled model definitely needs improvement. The lights aren’t too bright, but they make some letters and digits hard to read, especially in the top two rows (where the entire function row and numbers are).
Although it’s a membrane keyboard, the keys have a nearly-creamy-sounding click similar to mechanical ones. The keys are raised and, depending on your preference, can feel great to type on or downright uncomfortable.
NPET K10’s space bar feels rattly and can sometimes not register. Oddly, a simple keyboard modding hack to remove the space bar’s two springs fixes the issue without compromising functionality.
Specifications
PROS
✓ Inexpensive
✓ 2-year warranty
✓ Doubleshot lettering won’t fade
✓ Dedicated Numpad
✓ Satisfying typing sound
CONS
✘ ABS keys will shine
✘ Low backlight quality
Lovaky wireless keyboard is the cheapest option on our list and the only one that comes with a wireless mouse.
The affordable keyboard and mouse connect using a single 2.4 GHz USB dongle, so you save on USB ports while enjoying a clean, cable-free setup. This combo mostly has smooth wireless connectivity, with a few latency issues here and there because of the 2.4 GHz frequencies overlapping.
They both need replaceable alkaline batteries to run, which improves their lifespan, but the batteries aren’t included in the purchase.
A considerable drawback with this full-sized keyboard is the lettering — it can start fading within a few months of regular use. And although the keyboard has feet at the back for angle adjusting, it’s not the most ergonomic option in our list.
The manufacturer claims the mouse has a whisper-silent click, but it’s not as quiet as what you’ll find on silent mice. It does have adjustable DPI, but don’t expect ultra-smooth performance and advanced features like those on a gaming mouse.
The mouse and keyboard have battery-saving enabled, so they automatically go to sleep after ten minutes of inactivity.
Specifications
PROS
✓ Budget pick
✓ Includes a wireless, adjustable DPI mouse
✓ 2-in-1 USB receiver
✓ Replaceable alkaline batteries
✓ Battery-saver mode on mouse and keyboard
CONS
✘ Letters prone to fading
✘ Batteries not included for mouse and keyboard
✘ Latency issues
✘ No backlighting
Purple keyboards for gaming are a great way to add an extra pop of color to your gaming setup. While a traditional mechanical keyboard will enhance gaming performance, a membrane option will come at a budget and work quietly.
The Dustsilver D84 Cyberpunk Cool Purple and K84 Purple Pink Lilac are a smart pick if you’re seeking a neat purple aesthetic and solid gaming performance. CoolKiller CK75 has a more graphic aesthetic, while the Costom L75 has a sleek and premium look.
The Mosptnspg is an affordable purple 60% keyboard, and the HK GAMING GK61 Purple offers lots of optical switches to choose from.
If you have desk space for a full-sized purple mechanical, the Firstblood Only Game. B16 Lilac might be an appealing option. Lastly, the NPET K10 and Lovaky wireless keyboards are full-sized membrane keyboards apt for those who want cheaper options and are happy with limited customizability.
